1. General Conditions

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order when necessary, including where there is suspected fraud, inaccurate information, or a violation of these Terms.

2. Products & Craftsmanship

The Mother Cart® specializes in handcrafted solid-wood furniture, carved doors, bathroom vanities, beds, cabinets, and other custom furniture and home décor products.

Many of our products are handcrafted and made to order.

Because our products are handcrafted:

  • Natural variations in wood grain, color, texture, knots, and carving are normal.

  • Minor variations from product images may occur.

  • These natural variations are characteristics of solid wood and handmade craftsmanship and are not considered defects.

  • Product images are provided as a representation of the design and finish; the final piece may have natural variations.

Product-specific materials, dimensions, finishes, production times, and other specifications are provided on the relevant product page or confirmed with the customer for custom orders.

3. Custom Orders

For custom orders, customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements, specifications, design requirements, and delivery information.

Once a custom order has been approved and production has started, changes, cancellations, or refunds may not be available except as described in our Refund & Return Policy.

Customers should carefully review and confirm custom measurements and specifications before production begins.

4. Orders & Payments

All prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

An order is considered confirmed after successful payment.

We reserve the right to cancel an order when necessary due to suspected fraud, inaccurate information, inability to fulfill the order, or other legitimate business reasons. If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

5. Shipping & Delivery

We offer free standard shipping worldwide unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Our products are handcrafted and manufactured in India and shipped internationally to the customer's delivery address.

Most made-to-order furniture requires approximately 15–25 business days for production. Estimated total delivery time, including production and international transit, is generally 30–45 business days from the order date.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs clearance, carrier delays, port congestion, weather, holidays, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

6. Customs Duties, Taxes & Import Charges

Free shipping refers to standard shipping charges and does not automatically mean that destination-country taxes, duties, VAT, or other government-imposed import charges are included.

Where applicable, customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or other government charges imposed by the destination country may be the responsibility of the customer.

Customers are responsible for complying with applicable import requirements in their country.

7. Returns, Refunds & Damage Claims

Our Refund & Return Policy forms part of these Terms of Service.

Because many of our products are handcrafted and made to order:

  • Cancellation eligibility depends on whether production has started.

  • Custom-made products may not be returnable due to a change of mind, incorrect customer-provided measurements, or personal preference after production has started.

  • Damage or manufacturing-defect claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Clear photographs and/or videos of the product and packaging may be required.

  • Depending on the circumstances, an approved claim may be resolved through repair, replacement, replacement parts, or an appropriate refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All original content on this website, including images, text, logos, product designs, graphics, and other materials, belongs to or is used by The Mother Cart® with appropriate rights.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use our website content or product images for commercial purposes without written permission.

9. Product Care & Use

Customers are responsible for following appropriate installation, assembly, maintenance, and care instructions provided with their products.

The Mother Cart® is not responsible for damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, improper storage, unauthorized modification, or failure to follow care instructions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Mother Cart® will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use our products or website.

Our liability relating to a product or order will not exceed the amount actually paid for that product, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

11. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information.

  • Attempt to interfere with or damage our website.

  • Upload malicious software, code, or spam.

  • Use our website for unlawful purposes.

We may restrict or terminate access to the website when these Terms are violated.

These Terms of Service shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
